Gold: WE Learn Obesity: An Online Education Series for Novo Nordisk India by Red Nucleus

WE Learn Obesity is a first-of-its-kind, HCP educational programme designed to transform misconceptions of obesity as a lifestyle choice rather than the complex, chronic disease it is.

Built on robust market-research insights, the adaptive learning journey includes 15 bite-sized modules elevated through AI-driven patient simulators, hotspot virtual clinics, responsive disease state graphs and specialty-specific downloadable tools. Mobile-responsive, it delivers personalised content that addresses stigma, improves clinical confidence and supports guideline-recommended practice.

Achieving 160% of the registration target and reaching new customer audiences, it demonstrates how insight-driven innovation in education can measurably close knowledge gaps and drive excellence in patient care.

Judges’ comments

An industry-first in India for obesity with insight-led objectives and initiative very much tailored to market needs, this was a well-executed e-learning programme utilising a great microlearning approach. The submission was well grounded and relevant, and clearly tackled a significant misconception in obesity management, with a strong, insight-led strategy and a thoughtful use of personalised, mobile-first learning to meet HCP needs. Robust implementation with good engagement and completion metrics, the mobile-optimised, personalised design encouraged sustained engagement and completion, contributing to the programme exceeding its registration goals.

Judges said the entry demonstrated clear educational intent tailored to audience and geography, along with strong content development and effective use of technology; they found the AI use of patient engagement particularly interesting. Fundamentally, the tactical implementation that focused on content strategy was solid – especially the patient simulator and interactive virtual clinic – while registrations and depth of engagement were very sound. Overall, this was a highly engaging and innovative educational programme that effectively translated excellent initial insight into a user-friendly, flexible learning platform. And then it was strong execution, measurable learning outcomes, stakeholder endorsement and scalability across additional markets that made this the ultra-compelling submission that fully earned the Gold award.

Bronze: Beyond the Congress: Continuous Invasive Meningococcal Disease Education for GSK Vaccines Global Medical Affairs by Sermo

Invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) can progress rapidly – making timely recognition, prevention, and physician confidence critical. To expand IMD education, GSK Vaccines Global Medical Affairs partnered with Sermo to create an always-on learning experience within a closed, triple-verified physician community.

Through a dedicated Knowledge Repository featuring approved content, snackable learning and peer-driven engagement, the programme extended education beyond traditional congress settings and into physicians’ daily workflow.

A rigorous test-versus-control study demonstrated a 68% lift in diagnostic confidence, a 33% increase in peer-to-peer case discussions, and an 18% increase in prioritisation of disease prevention.

Bronze: Taxi Talks for ViiV Healthcare by Burson

To shift perceptions and drive adoption of innovative HIV treatments, we created “Taxi Talks” – a promotional video series featuring candid, peer-to-peer conversations between healthcare professionals inside a taxi. Filmed at key conferences in Brighton and Barcelona, the campaign provided an intimate setting for authentic expert dialogue.

Delivered via a multi-channel digital strategy – including email campaigns, banners, and hosted content – the initiative significantly outperformed industry benchmarks for click-through rates and engagement time. Critically, post-content review polling showed that up to 75% of HCPs reported a shift in mindset, becoming more open to HIV innovations and aware of prescribing biases.

Finalist: Driving ATTR-CM Recognition and Referrals Through Peer-to-Peer Exchange for Alnylam UK & Ireland by Cognite

“ACT on ATTR-CM” was a peer-to-peer educational programme from Alnylam, designed to help cardiology HCPs recognise the signs of transthyretin amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) earlier and make effective referrals to the National Amyloidosis Centre (NAC).

It included a flagship meeting, expert-led webinars and practical resources built around a single-minded message: Early Action Matters. By addressing educational gaps in this under-recognised disease, the programme engaged 276 HCPs in its first 3 months, achieved excellent scores for quality and clinical relevance, and directly contributed to ~20% increase in NAC referral activity versus the previous year.

Finalist: Transforming Nurse Training Through AI-Powered Patient Simulations by IQVIA

Patient Support Programme (PSP) nurses often deliver complex adherence counselling conversations, yet opportunities for repeated skills practice are limited by time, availability and learner discomfort with traditional role play. Following a training needs assessment, IQVIA developed three AI voice-based patient simulations grounded in behavioural and learning sciences.

Designed to complement live training, the simulations enabled realistic, telephone-style practice, provided real-time training feedback and flexible access beyond formal training sessions. Pilot participants reported high levels of realism, relevance and usability, demonstrating the potential of AI-enabled rehearsal to strengthen communication skills, confidence and capability in adherence-focused nurse education
