Sarah radiates an infectious energy and enthusiasm and makes it easy to see how she manages to co-ordinate so many moving parts in her role. She recognises that big goals tackled in one bite are rarely realistic and that it’s the consistent pursuit of smaller steps that matters—with this in mind, she tackles her goals heartily and thoroughly with charm. Her ‘people-first’ approach really impresses, and no doubt is key to how Sarah gains the buy-in of a multitude of stakeholders when persuading them to try new digital approaches. In fact, Sarah is extremely focused on understanding the barriers to adopting digital tools across her organisation. She has pioneered real change at AbbVie by working collaboratively across many teams to dismantle these barriers and deliver successful digital marketing strategies. Sarah’s expertise and thought leadership shine through and the way she has clearly elevated digital as a key strand in pharma engagement strategy is great to see.

Sarah has clearly brought her agency experience to the forefront to establish a progressive partnership approach. By taking a deeper understanding of colleague needs in order to co-create solutions with agency partners, Sarah has actually brought around a transformation in client relations across her associates in pharma. Sarah does huge amounts of groundwork in relationship building and working on a mantra of fairness and transparency, Sarah has brought agencies together and improved internal inefficiencies through everyone knowing their role.

The judges thought that Sarah’s ability to sparkle even when facing the most daunting goals, plus her natural desire to bring people together, was so refreshing—and we need much more of that in this industry.
