Gold: Digital P2P Community Improves Clinical Practice in Low Resource Settings for Novartis by MedShr

Early identification and community-based management is critical to reducing premature deaths from cardiovascular diseases, yet few mechanisms for peer-to-peer learning are accessible to frontline HCPs and community health workers in LMICs.

MedShr and Novartis partnered to deliver a mobile-first discussion group housing eight educational clinical cases and five e-learning modules. Tailoring the content to appeal to regional, linguistic and speciality segments ensured engagement, supported by promotion and engagement by a team of clinicians.

We reached 148,840 HCPs and CHWs, generating 60,374 engagements. In surveys, 89% of participants said they’d implemented learnings from the programme in practice.

It was great to see such strong results coming from a clear set of objectives, and really strong engagement resulting in actual, measurable improvement in clinical practice across multiple territories, ultimately benefiting patient outcomes.

Silver: Taking HCPs on a Learning Journey Towards Individualised HIV Care for Gilead by MedShr

Despite the introduction of newer and long-acting antiretroviral treatments (ARTs), HIV continues to impact millions. Furthermore, as people living with HIV (PLWH) age, newer challenges are arising in managing comorbidities.

Since 2021, this MedShr program has taken HCPs on a ‘learning journey’, building their competency in delivering individualised HIV care. The programme has evolved from covering basic topics in HIV management to nuanced education around tailoring ART for complex and treatment-experienced patients, and managing comorbidities.

In 2022, the content reached over 192,000 target HCPs, achieving over 40,000 engagements and a 72% improvement in participant performance on pre-post assessments.

Bronze: Rare Disease Connect in Neurology: Cultivating a Global Community of Learning in MG for UCB by Ogilvy Health UK

Rare Disease Connect in Neurology (RDCN) is a global educational forum built on an industry-first learning needs assessment with an ambition to offer life-long transformational learning for the myasthenia gravis (MG) community.

RDCN addresses a key gap by providing a forum where previously disparate MG experts can network, collaborate, and translate shared knowledge into clinical practice. RDCN offers needs-driven, relevant bite-sized learning provision across multiple touchpoints including a global annual meeting.

Feedback from MG experts demonstrates that being a part of the RDCN community is valuable and is ultimately shaping the care of those living with MG.

Finalist: SEO HCP Engagement for a Respiratory Brand in the UK for AstraZeneca by performance-io

AZ engaged PIO to support a respiratory brand site that had received a lack of HCP engagement, despite investment in creative and media. The site content had been developed based on AZ CSFs and brand strategy, not HCP search intent.

The objective was simple; drive relevant website traffic through leveraging HCP search insights to develop a strategic SEO programme. In 12 months, the programme delivered >800% increase in organic clicks and >5,000% in organic impressions leading to a significant increase in HCPs engaging with content on the site. This translated into strong lead generation for AZ.
