Why enter the PMi Awards?
The Pharmaceutical Marketing Innovation and Impact (PMi) Awards, are another pillar of the PM Society’s advancing standards awards programme. The emphasis is on effectiveness (impact) and of course innovation in the concepts, formats, design of content and the use of a variety of media.
Entering the PMi Awards will give you the opportunity to increase recognition of your company brand, your outstanding work, and bring external recognition to your team members producing best in class programmes and campaigns. Being a Finalist is already something to shout about, allowing you to present your work and company in terms of innovation and impact.
Attending the awards is another opportunity to reward your team, view the best work in the industry of the last 12 months and support your clients. It will also raise your profile and give you an opportunity to network with an audience containing a mix of pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare agency leads.
And if you win, Gold, Silver or Bronze awards, you have additional marketing opportunities for your company or team. We provide you with photos, logos and relevant trophies or certificates. We publish press releases and tag winners, and you have further opportunities for exposure post-ceremony in our online brochure.

Can I enter a project that has been entered before?
Campaign extensions (or entering projects that have been entered before)
Entries which are extensions of a previously entered campaign must, in the opinion of the judges, be noticeably different from previous executions.
The exception is that an entry made last year into Evolving for Success can be entered into Sustained Excellence (formerly Evolving for Success) this year, as long as there is new data to represent the extension of the campaign over the last 12 months.
If you entered last year, whether successfully or unsuccessfully, you cannot simply enter the same project again, unless one of the above exceptions applies.
If you have any eligibility queries, please contact our Awards Manager, lorna@pmsociety.org.uk
How many categories can I enter?

How do you ensure confidentiality and security of work submitted?
Website security
The PM Society takes its website security extremely seriously to ensure the safety of the data held.
The website has been built on a WordPress CMS. WordPress is used by over 60 million websites.
We implement a number of strategies to ensure the security of the site, the server itself is protected by a Firewall and all traffic is encrypted and any new software security patches are implemented in a timely manner.
We use Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) to host any videos submitted, these are then protected by Amazon’s robust security measures.
All PM Society users have had to create new passwords to access their accounts and 3rd party users (such as judges) have to sign confidentiality agreements before being given access to entry submissions.
Confidentiality
Initially all entries are reviewed by the Awards Steering Group to check for eligibility. All members of the Awards Steering Group have signed a confidentiality agreement.
At the judging stage we recognise and understand the sensitive nature of the information submitted in your entries; therefore, we require all judges to sign a legally binding confidentiality agreement before appointment.
When are the finalists announced?
Finalists will be advised via e-mail by the end of June with details of the second round of judging. Unsuccessful entrants will also be notified.
Who will see my entries, will they be seen in the public domain?
Initially all entries are reviewed by the Awards Steering Group to check for eligibility. All members of the Awards Steering Group have signed a confidentiality agreement.
At the judging stage we recognise and understand the sensitive nature of the information submitted in your entries; therefore, we require all judges to sign a legally binding confidentiality agreement before appointment.
Finalist work is seen at the awards ceremony by ticket holders for the event. If you are through to the finalist stages, we will contact you for copy, videos and images that are suitable for the awards ceremony including the exhibition.
As soon as the results brochure goes live, we send an e-mail to our event attendees and members ONLY. The results brochure is not publicised on any social media platforms.
To stop anything appearing on any search engine, we do not tag brands, diseases, charities, or healthcare campaigns.
We will confirm with you at every step to ensure you and your client are happy with what is shown and where.
The online results brochure for the 2026 PMi Awards will be available on the website following the final presentation on Thursday 17th September.
How are winners chosen and what happens if we win?
The winners are chosen via a two-stage judging process.
Read about the judging process here
In each category judges will select a Gold winner, with other available awards being SIlver, Bronze or (for some categories) Highly Commended and Commended.
There will always be a Winner. (receiving a Gold or Winner trophy). There will not always be a Silver or Bronze, Highly Commended or Commended. On rare occaions, joint winners are selected, both receiving Gold.
Finalists are invited to buy tickets for the Awards Ceremony held on 17th September, at which they will find out if they have won.
During the awards presentation, the winning team will be invited on stage to collect their trophy. There will be one trophy provided to the client team and one for the agency team. Additional trophies can be purchased following the awards ceremony at your own expense.
After the awards presentation the Finalists’ Showcase will indicate which work has won in each category.
No speeches are required on stage, but photos will be taken of the winning team in each category with the host and sponsor on stage, and again with the sponsor off stage.
The PM Society team will post on social media during the show. Some winners will be mentioned and tagged. [the PM Society team may not post about all categories].
Winners will be invited on stage at the end of the ceremony for a group winners’ photo. This will be made available as soon as possible after the awards ceremony along with logos for all finalists and winners to use in their own social media posts.
A winners’ press release will mention all category winners by company name and will be disseminated on all PM Society channels as well as via media partners.
An online results brochure will be available following the awards ceremony, detailing all finalists in each category and featuring the winners.
From time to time, winners of the PMi Awards may be invited to take part in post awards activities eg webinars. Winners may also be mentioned throughout the year in awards marketing posts.
Is feedback available on my entry/entries?
Feedback is available on request, after finalists are announced, and following the awards ceremony for a limited period. Emails requesting feedback must be received within one calendar month of the awards ceremony. Responses will be returned by the end of the second calendar month from the awards ceremony.
E.g. for the PMi Awards 2026, emails requesting feedback should be received by October 17th. All responses will be delivered by November 17th.
Feedback on entries that have not made it through to the finals, will be in the form of numerical scores, and where possible, one or two judges’ comments. For clarity, judges are not asked to give comments on why an entry does not reach the finals, or why a finalist entry does not win an award so your questions may not always be answered. Judges focus on choosing the best work in a category, and therefore their comments are usually on the positive attributes of an entry.
The PM Society cannot acquire further comments from judges after the judging is complete. Feedback is drawn from the scores and comments recorded during the judging process.
