New role – Project Co-ordinator
The PM Society is hiring a project co-ordinator and is offering a one-year contract, with a possible extension.
The role offers a unique breadth of opportunities and personal development, especially for someone currently in a junior client services or project management role, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or a healthcare agency.
The Project Co-ordinator will co-ordinate work and support project leaders on key PM Society workstreams and initiatives.
Workstreams will include (not exclusively)
- Creativity for Good – our charity initiative
- Supporting our 7 Interest Groups
- PM Society content planning and creation
- Relationships with PM Society partners
- Membership communication
- Events such as members meetings and careers events
- Awards programmes
The Project Co-ordinator will be a key part of the small operations team, will execute project management tasks, be a liaison between stakeholders, schedule meetings, develop and manage documents including some content for external communication and proactively highlight new opportunities for communication and collaboration.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Project co-ordination tasks on designated workstreams
- Key contact for external, voluntary working groups/interest groups
- Manage content produced throughout the interest groups and committees, and maximise use of this content, highlighting new opportunities
- Execution and promotion of this content, across channels
- Lead on or support PM Society live or virtual events
- Support the running of the Executive Committee and Interest Groups
- Become a true ambassador of the PM Society.
Additional information:
- Pharmaceutical marketing or healthcare communications industry knowledge is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a client services or project management role within a healthcare agency or pharmaceutical company.
- Strong organisation and project planning skills with a detailed approach to tasks
- Experience of planning projects/events from initiation to completion
- Excellent time management with a focus on efficiency and reliability
- Ability to use Excel and other MS software tools is essential.
- A team player with a desire to work in a small team with the ability to communicate with and motivate the volunteer teams and liaise with senior stakeholders.
- A can-do attitude and agile approach is essential, accepting that projects and events can be held outside of a 9-5 Monday to Friday timeframe and therefore longer hours and evening hours may sometimes need to be worked to deliver an event.
- The right candidate will have a passion for the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry and an appetite to learn more and grow their network and knowledge
- The following would be useful:
- Experience of writing and editing communication pieces including emails, social media posts and short articles.
- Experience of organising or working on events
- Knowledge of LinkedIn and other social channels
