What do the PMi Awards recognise and celebrate?
- With digital now ubiquitous in pharmaceutical marketing – the PM Society took the decision in 2025 to evolve the name of the PM Society Digital Awards from “Digital” to “Innovation and Impact”. With this evolution, the categories and judging criteria recognise campaigns and organisations across the full breadth of medical and commercial healthcare communications that can demonstrate both innovation and impact in their work.
How do the PMi Awards fit into the PM Society’s Advancing Standards programme?
- Recognising innovation and impact fits the PM Society’s mission to advance standards in pharma marketing and communications. There are two separate award competitions within the annual programme. The PM Awards recognize creativity and the people behind the work. The PMi Awards focus on innovation and impact. Together these two awards reward the best work in pharma marketing and communications and highlight the best teams and people responsible for the work.
What type of organisations should be entering or engaging?
- When thinking about entering the awards – the former PM Digital Awards traditionally saw media and digital agencies as the main drivers of entries but with the evolution to innovation and impact we want to emphasise that entries from all agencies and pharmaceutical teams working in the healthcare landscape – including medical communications, public relations and creative – are encouraged whilst still of course being highly relevant to those media and digital agencies that were the backbone of the awards for so many years.
What are the types of work that should be entered?
- The awards recognise any program or initiative that can demonstrate innovation and/or impact across medical communications, disease awareness, patient support, promotional work, external and public relations and internal initiatives – driven by either commercial, medical or communications/corporate teams.
And the people / teams?
- The PMi Awards also recognise the best agency teams, pioneering pharma professionals and stand out agency individuals.
How do they fit into the awards landscape?
- Unlike some awards that are specific to a particular discipline, our emphasis on innovation and impact cuts across all specialisms whilst also providing an opportunity for work with potentially smaller budgets to take center stage.
Why are the PMis relevant?
- With the healthcare agency landscape more competitive and crowded than ever– the awards provide a way to not only recognise the good work of your teams but to differentiate through association with the mission of the PMi Awards and stand out in the market as an agency driving innovation and impact.
What are the benefits of winning?
- Being a finalist or winner at the PMi Awards provides public recognition of the work your agency or pharmaceutical company is doing to deliver innovation and impact – as judged by an expert panel of industry peers and experienced specialist judges. This recognition provides a myriad of benefits such as increased brand awareness for prospective clients and new talent as well as offering a personal development opportunity for those teams delivering the work and attending the awards presentation.
