After four years as co-chairs of The PM Society, we are excited to be passing the baton on to our new Chair, Dom Marchant, it is also a great time to reflect on what has been achieved.

Having both been actively involved with the PM Society for several years, we were both honoured and delighted to take the opportunity to co-chair. When we first discussed what we wanted to achieve, it was all about being active in our role to make a real difference and impact.

Despite COVID stopping us from bringing the industry together in person, over last four years the PM Society has been able to deliver:

  • Increased revenue year-on-year, and as a not-for-profit we have continued to invest in giving back to the industry
  • Continued to celebrate the great work our industry does, with sold-out annual awards ceremonies these are ever evolving – watch this space…
  • Added more interest groups that provide a wealth of events and resources tackling some of the key challenges and sharing best practices
  • An evolving training program that continues to deliver value to all who attend
  • Our annual careers conference for young graduates, with our fifth event just announced!
  • Careers in healthcare communications, an exciting partnership with The HCA designed to raise awareness and promote the sector
  • A sustained and growing creativity for good program with amazing campaigns created pro bono by award winning agencies

We also share a passion for improving mental health, and while we haven’t yet found the right program to drive real impact in this area, we are delighted to see its profile positively raised across PM Society activities, and of course in our industry and wider society. It remains a top priority for us. Colin recently became a trustee for https://www.beelievefoundation.co.uk/, and our PM Society community are already helping to drive positive change for this wonderful charity.

We’re both fully committed to the mission and purpose of The PM Society, and will be staying as active Board members, as the work doesn’t stop here, in fact there is so much to look forward to!

We are fortunate to have an amazing team of volunteers and want to thank them for what they do, we wouldn’t have achieved so much without them! Building on all their hard work, there are more exciting updates to come in the next few months, we just wish we could tell you more right now!

All the very best wishes
