Published 15 September 2026

We’re delighted to announce two new members of the PM Society Leadership Team and co-chairs of the Sustainability Interest Group (SIG), Beth Stagg and Kath Cotton.

Beth and Kath both have a keen interest in sustainability and are excited to join forces to help elevate environmental initiatives for the Society and its Membership.

With a focus on practical progress, Beth and Kath will re-convene the interest group and focus on providing clear, actionable and proven guidance so members can determine what actions work best for them and their businesses. All activity will be grounded in the latest science and data, focusing on positive ways to make an impact – more about solutions than problems.

They are building a supportive and enabling community, a space for anyone with an interest within the PM Society membership to come together and learn from one another. This focus on sharing ideas, learnings and inspiration is all with one thing in mind – helping to deliver the PM Society’s mission of Advancing Standards.

Beth is Head of Strategy at CultHealth London, an Indegene company. She has an MSc in Sustainability and was previously Director of Communications at Health Care Without Harm Europe, an NGO focused on sustainable healthcare. She has also worked as an independent consultant, helping healthcare organisations embed environmental and social considerations into their marketing, operations and communications.

Beth says:

“I’ve met many people across our sector who are already driving positive change, as well as others who are keen to do more but aren’t sure where to start. Through this group, I hope we can build a community where PM Society members share learnings, turn ideas into action and make progress together.”

Kath is co-Founder and Managing Director at Salt. Salt is one of the leading purpose-driven agencies in our sector, with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental impact.

Kath says:

“I’ve always felt very strongly about sustainability, and being able to bring that passion and practical experience to the PM Society SIG is a huge privilege. Our agency, Salt is B Corp certified, and we work hard to meet high societal and environmental standards in everything we do. Last year I also co-founded an environmental charity, Salt of the Earth, who provide grants to community projects supporting human health and the environment. Earlier this year I also had the opportunity to build on my academic understanding, completing a Climate Change course as part of the Executive Education programme at LSE.

Altogether, there have been a lot of learnings, and by helping build a sustainability community I’m hoping to share my own experience and continue to learn from others, so we can all elevate our industry together.”

SIG Mission Statement

As members of the PM Society, we all share a drive to improve health outcomes. And those outcomes depend on a healthy planet, too.

The mission of the Sustainability Interest Group is to help the PM Society and its membership take positive actions to improve their environmental impacts and raise the bar for our industry.

We’re building a community for everyone: from sustainability champions to those who are just looking for small, practical steps they can take in their day-to-day work. A place to share ideas and learnings, to find inspiration and support.

Helping us advance sustainability standards together, to shape a healthier future for people and planet.

We’re delighted to welcome Beth and Kath to the Leadership team, and we’re looking forward to hearing their plans for the SIG in the very near future.
