Craig Bradley, Product & Business Lead Rare GI, Takeda

Craig has worked for Takeda, via legacy Shire Pharmaceuticals, since July 2006 within a variety of sales, marketing and market access roles. Craig is currently the Product & Business Lead for Rare GI. Craig has over 15 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, also working for both Unomedical and Novartis during this time. Craig is also currently the Chair & Market Access Interest Group Lead at the PM Society


Rufaro Kausi, HTA Adviser, Technology Appraisals, NICE

Rufaro is a health economist and currently works for National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a Technical Adviser in the Technology Appraisals programme. She works in a team that evaluates evidence and input from a range of sources i.e. clinical trial data, systematic literature reviews and economic models of clinical and cost effectiveness of medical technologies to produce guidance on those technologies. Prior to working for NICE, Rufaro worked as a Pricing Policy Manager for NHS Improvement in a team that develops the National Tariff document which sets out the methodology and prices for NHS Services. Whilst there, she explored using payment as a mechanism to influence healthcare providers behaviour as well as incentivise specific desired patient outcomes in the national maternity and other patient care pathways.


Conor Burke, Strategic Advisor, Visions4Health

Conor has over 14 years’ experience as a senior NHS system leader. He formerly served as Chief Officer for Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge CCGs, where he led a series of major improvement initiatives locally and across London, including chairing the London-wide Urgent Care Transformation Board, securing agreement to develop the BHR Accountable Care System, and establishing ‘Health1000’, a new primary care provider model delivering integrated and personalised care. He has also led the re-design and development of new services and innovations that both transform and improved service delivery and patient outcomes. Conor began his career as an Occupational Therapist and has since worked in consulting for a range of firms, leading public sector transformation work in the UK and Europe.


Mike Ringe, ABPI, NHS Engagement Partner

Mike is NHS Engagement Partner at The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). He supports the Industry to better understand the changing landscape of healthcare based on expertise and experience gained from nearly 2 decades working in NHS, principally in commissioning roles within PCTs. Building on pharmaceutical industry experience gained at Roche Products Ltd, Mike joined the ABPI in late 2012 where, as part of the national engagement team, his role is focused on development of strategic relationships between the industry and the NHS to achieve the ‘triple win’ – for patients, the NHS and industry. He currently leads initiatives around partnership working and NHS collaboration in London and the South.


Ivor Eisenstadt, Managing Director, MGP

Ex-Chair of PM Society and the Hertfordshire Valleys CCG Dacorum Patients Group, Ivor spent 13 years in the pharma industry before founding MGP where he is now Managing Director.


Steve How, Programme Director, Wilmington

Steve is the Programme Director for Wilmington Healthcare, with a key focus that includes the translation of NHS policy information and data into insight to support healthcare related business. He also has many years’ experience with blue chip pharmaceutical and Health IT companies in delivering and implementing solutions based marketing and sales strategies, and partnership working with the NHS. Steve has taken an active role in developing and implementing assurance and public governance. As chair of the citizen’s council he is a member of the Alliance Leadership Board for the Mid Notts Integrated Care Partnership. He has also been a governor of Mid Notts Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and South Staffs and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.


Karen Westaway, Chief Trouble Maker, ValueBase

With a heritage in UK, European, and Global Market Access that spans over 20 years, Karen has worked on a wide range of access challenges. Previously CEO and co-founder of WG Consulting, she built a European and global healthcare team that was instrumental in shaping access approaches that are widely recognized today. Now focused on the value that automation, data science and digital intelligence tools can bring to complex and disparate healthcare datasets, Karen and her team run Formulytics™ and Guidelight™. These systems provide near-real-time visibility of formulary and guideline activity and longitudinal data on formulary/guideline adoption. This unique intelligence is used by pharmaceutical companies to inform sales and marketing strategies and drive commercial success.

Jan has worked in the pharma industry for over 30 years and currently works in External Affairs for Rosemont Pharmaceuticals


Dr Séamus O’Neill, Chief Executive Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria Chair AHSN Network

Séamus leads the AHSN NENC, one of 15 AHSNs across England. The AHSNs work across NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Universities, Local Authorities and companies to improve both the health and wealth of their regions through innovation. The AHSN NENC team works closely with LEPs, UKTI, NICE, Pharma and Med Tech companies to broker relationships and establish joint projects. Séamus is a Geneticist by training. He did his Degree and PhD at Queen’s University Belfast and Clinical Scientist training in Northern Region Genetics Service. Following some postdoctoral work (NEJM, 1999 and J Clin Onc, 2001) Séamus has worked for 15 years in a variety of managerial roles at the interface between the health and academic sectors.
