SUMMARY:Managing Pressure and Building Resilience
DESCRIPTION:About the course\nThese two sessions\, which will be delivered via Zoom on consecutive days\, are rooted in the science of how the body and brain react to pressure and stress and offer a practical and non-fluffy guide to maintaining and building your resilience.  It’s a relevant subject for most people in business today but the need for support in this area has increased given how COVID-19 and working from home is affecting people’s focus and resilience. \nThe contents of each session are as follows:- \nSession 1 (2:15 hours)\nThursday 29th April 10:00 am – 12:15 pm \n\nHow the body and brain respond to pressure and the effect of the stress reaction. How the brain’s survival mechanism produces ‘lower order’ emotional reactions that can be unhelpful in the workplace. The balance between good v unhelpful stress.\nReframing your thinking. Understanding the ‘thinking traps’ we sometimes fall into and how you can step back\, strip out the emotion and re-assess and handle pressurised challenges. A group exercise where delegates analyse a previous situation.\n\nSession 2 (1:45 hours)\nFriday 30th April 10:00 am – 11:45 am \n\nThe science behind\, and benefits of mindfulness and breathing techniques\, including scientific evidence of how they impact the brain and the stress reaction.  A review of the apps and other tools available.\nKeeping your focus and limiting distraction. Why technology makes us butterfly between tasks and keeps us in a state of ‘continuous partial attention’.  Practical ideas on how you can change the way you work to stay focused and be more productive.\nExercise\, relaxation\, sleep and diet. How other aspects of your lifestyle impact the way the body responds to pressure and can help build resilience.\n\nAbout the trainer\nPaul Phillips spent many (stress-filled) years working in agencies including Ogilvy\, FCB San Francisco and most recently 14 years at VCCP.  During his last 8 years at VCCP\, he founded and ran the specialist healthcare agency VCCP Health\, where he first got interested in mental health.

SUMMARY:Webinar: Virtual Pitching – A Perspective from Procurement
DESCRIPTION:Whilst 2020 is now in the past\, most of us can agree that some aspects of virtual pitching maybe here to stay.  We all had clients that never stopped in lockdown but most us experienced a short hiatus in pitch activity in March and April of last year.  But business moved on and pitching went virtual. With 6 months+ under our belt now\, what have we learned? what worked well? What did not work so well and what can be done to improve the experience for both agency and client. \nModerated by Paul Morrissey\, a Senior Commercial Director in health\, this interactive session will explore these questions with a panel of leading procurement managers from both inside and outside of the Pharma industry.  Please join us in this free webinar where we will explore these questions from the procurement teams that organise and run these events every week within their own businesses.

SUMMARY:Digital Awards 2020
DESCRIPTION:VIEW THE RESULTS! \n\n\nThe Digital Awards is in its 11th year and celebrates the best in digital communications within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Judges include experts from within digital and creative agencies\, digital specialists and marketers from pharmaceutical companies as well as healthcare professionals. \nThis year\, because we were unable to hold a live event in London\, we held two online awards ceremonies on 16th and 17th September.  We had over 700 registrations for the event and with teams watching together on Zoom the total audience was estimated at well over 1000. We were blown away by the incredible levels of engagement for this event\, and we are truly grateful for everyone’s continued support and interest. Our overall sponsor PRECISIONeffect and all our category sponsors need a special mention – we are extremely grateful for their support. \nWe were lucky enough to have Russell Kane making us laugh at the start of both of the shows\, as well as Alan Dedicoat taking us through the categories. \nDue to considerations around compliance and licensing contracts we are unable to provide the awards show on demand but our online results brochure contains details of all the finalists and winners as well as information about all of our sponsors. \nIf you want to find out more about the winners please register for our free webinars: \n1st October \n6th October
