YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experiences, we create change so that children and young people can cope with life’s adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life. We work tirelessly to build children and young people’s resilience, make healthier and stronger communities, and a society where there is no stigma attached to the words ‘mental health.’
Our key priorities are to:
Foster innovation to meet the needs of vulnerable and excluded children and young people.
Promote good mental health to more children and young people than ever before.
Champion voices of young people and parents to influence mental health policy and practice.
Inspire excellence to achieve transformed integrated services.
We have four main avenues of operation to put our mission in practice: online resources, media and campaigns; training and consultancy; youth engagement; and the Parents Helpline.
“We’re thrilled to have the support of the PM society, and to benefit from this years’ Awards ceremony. With their generous support, we will make a real difference to children and young people who are suffering with mental health problems, and to their parents and carers.” Diane Gault, Director of Fundraising
